User Experience Designer (UI/UX Designer with strong Angular JS experience)

This individual contributor is primarily responsible for UI/UX design with strong development experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript, front-end frameworks (Bootstrap), AJAX, JSON, jQuery, AngularJS, CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS), responsive cross-browser and cross-platform design, mobile experience, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), color theory, graphic design, mockups and prototyping, testing / debugging  and building from concept to deployment.
Experience with RESTful services, SharePoint and content management systems highly desirable. 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field or six (6) years of experience in a directly related field required

Top 3-5 Required Skills:
• 4+ years required hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge as a strong UI/UX Designer, but highly prefer 6+ years hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge as a strong UI/UX Designer.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript, front-end frameworks (Bootstrap), AJAX, JSON, jQuery, Angular, CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS), responsive cross-browser and cross-platform design, mobile experience, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), color theory, graphic design, mockups and prototyping, testing / debugging and building from concept to deployment. 
• Experience working in a Scrum environment using Jira, Git/Bitbucket
 
 Desired Skills:
 1. Experience with Data Visualization tools and libraries (Cognos, Taleau, Power BI)
 2. Experience building applications for ADA compliance
 3. Experience in web and mobile (iOS and Android) applications

Preferred Requirements:
6+ years hands-on UI/UX development experience and in-depth experience with rich template-based designs and web design, usability and development best practices with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript, front-end frameworks (Bootstrap), AJAX, JSON, jQuery, AngularJS, CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS)
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), color theory, graphic design, mockups and prototyping
- Experience with CSS3 (responsive/adaptive markup and bootstrap framework)
- Experience with SPA framework, Angular JS, React, Vue, Node.js
- Solid grasp of user-centric design, rapid prototyping, heuristic evaluation, usability and accessibility concerns
- Experience working with brand and/or design guidelines
- Experience with Typescript and static type checking methodologies
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) with multiple teams
- Experience using TFS, Git, Bitbucket, Jira
- Experience with Data Visualization tools and libraries (Cognos, Taleau, Power BI)
- Experience building applications for ADA compliance
- Experience in web and mobile (iOS and Android) applications
- Experience with RESTful web services
- Experience working with brand and/or design guidelines

Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Leverage Agile practices to prototype, design, develop, deliver and support effective interactive solutions that meet business, project, and design goals, based on industry best practices, standards and guidelines
2. Apply deep understanding of UX design principles and methodologies as they relate to responsive development; translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that deliver intuitive user experiences; make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features
3. Collaborate cross-functionally to make effective business decisions; solve complex problems; escalate high priority issues or risks, as appropriate; and recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities; participate in backlog grooming, defining requirements, programming, unit testing and debugging of applications in a collaborative environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Leverage Agile practices to prototype, design, develop, deliver and support effective interactive solutions that meet business, project, and design goals, based on industry best practices, standards and guidelines
- Apply deep understanding of UX design principles and methodologies as they relate to responsive development
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that deliver intuitive user experiences
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features
- Collaborate cross-functionally to make effective business decisions; solve complex problems; escalate high priority issues or risks, as appropriate; and recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities
- Participate in backlog grooming, defining requirements, programming, unit testing and debugging of applications in a collaborative environment
- Develop and execute unit testing to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications
- Participate in design and code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery
- Create, review and revise technical specifications and documentation
- Work with a dynamic, large cross-functional team to solve multi domain complex design solutions with minimum supervision
