Education/License/Certification:

BS in Business Administration, Health Care, Public Health, Finance, Business Medical Records Technology or equivalent degree and/or experience.

Qualifications:
Minimum of two to four years demonstrated experience conducting Medical Record audits.
Minimum of two to four years medical center operations or clinical experience.
Proficiency with using Clients Proprietary Software. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology.

Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal skills. Establishes effective working relationships and communicates effectively with local and regional staff/teams/leadership.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated data accuracy skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Ability to read and interpret medical data and make decisions based on clinical correction documentation.
Experience using PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

Must be able to work in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two to four years medical center operations or clinical experience preferred. Experience using Web based applications preferred. Knowledge of chart audits and health information management.

Position Summary:
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Remediator is responsible for managing remediation of identified problems within an EHR based on a pre-populated remediation plan document.
The EHR Remediator will be responsible for all components of physical remediation of the EHR to conclusion. This will be based on a standard workflow and process. Understand all clinical correction documentation specific to Encounters, Orders/Results (LAB,RAD, EEG, EKG, MEDS) and all other relevant documentation contained within the clinical correction documentation specific to chronic conditions, problems, and/or medical history.
 
 
Duties:
Manage escalation of issues to the appropriate parties.

Establishes effective working relationships and communicates effectively with regional staff/teams/leadership.
 
Manages the EHR remediation process based on the clinical correction documentation. May need to work with local and regional staff/teams/leadership until EHR is remediated. Escalates issues.
 
Ensures documentation is complete for EHR remediation process, obtains final approvals of completed remediation process and ensues that the remediation is successfully implemented before the incident is closed.
