Description
Contract position - this is a Jr-Mid level position.
 Remote Option, Will possible have to travel 1 or 2 times a year. 
Occasional work during non-business hours for code release or support needs.

The individual contributor is primarily responsible for supporting and updating Coldfusion applications and server software.
Duties include translating business requirements and functional specifications, application modifications, monitoring application performance, remedying performance issues, and performing configuration changes specific to Coldfusion and IIS.​​​​​​​

Education :
High School Required.
Bachelor's degree Preferred

Required Experience:
• Minimum three (3) years experience in software development or a related field.
• One (1) year experience working with IIS.
• Two (2) years of experience with SQL, preferably on Oracle database.
• Four (4) years of development experience with Coldfusion and Coldfusion administrator.

Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) year experience working with IT vendors.
• One (1) year experience working with ServiceNow.
• Two (2) years experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions.
• Two (2) years experience with engineering tools such as bug tracking and source code control systems.
• Four (4) years of development experience with .NET (C#, VB, .NET)
• Four (4) years of development experience with Agile Methodology
• Four (4) years of development experience with Java
• Four (4) years of development experience with JavaScript
• Four (4) years of development experience with responsive UI (HTML 5, CSS3, etc.)
• Four (4) years of development experience with Service Oriented Architecture/web services

Required Skills: Should Have:
• Coldfusion administration
• Coldfusion programming
• IIS security and SSL certificate configuration

Preferred Skills
• ServiceNow
• Agile Methodology

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary job duties this position is responsible for achieving are listed in order of importance.

• Monitors and maintains Coldfusion web server software and monitoring systems, including application of security patches, SSL certificates and IIS security changes.
• Assists in the development, configuration, or modification of application solutions by designing and coding component-based applications using Coldfusion.
• Assists in translating business requirements and functional specifications into code modules and software solutions, with guidance from senior colleagues, by providing insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
• Develops and executes unit testing to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications.
• Supports user acceptance testing (UAT) for application by collaborating with specification owners to ensure changes meet business needs.
• Follows department procedures to ensure compliance with IT change management policies. Collaborates with others to perform code review and release management.
• Escalates issues or risks as appropriate.
• Provides insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
• Provides systems' incident support and troubleshooting for basic to moderately complex issues.
• Identifies and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities when possible.
• Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines.
